About

Senior Paralegal. Contract availability.

My name is Malia Broxson, a Senior Paralegal in Birmingham, Alabama. M Broxson Legal is my contract paralegal practice supporting solo practitioners and small firms with overflow drafting, research, filing, and case management.

My day job is at Elizabeth Hunter Law Firm, a Birmingham criminal defense practice, where I work across multiple court levels and Alabama counties. Through M Broxson Legal, I take on contract engagements that span criminal defense, family law, and personal injury, with experience in both state and federal courts and appellate work in criminal and civil matters. All contract work is performed outside my regular employment with appropriate attorney supervision and full conflict-of-interest review.

You get a Senior Paralegal who actually understands what attorneys need. Fast turnaround. Clean drafting. Accurate filings. Discretion with every case file. That is the standard I bring to my day job and the standard I bring to every contract engagement.

Confidentiality & ethics

Trust and professional boundaries.

Contract paralegal work requires clear ethical boundaries. Here is how I handle every engagement.

Attorney Supervision

All work is performed under the direction and supervision of the engaging attorney. I do not provide legal advice, sign legal documents on behalf of clients, or hold myself out as an attorney.

Conflict Checks

Every engagement begins with a conflict check against my current employer's active client list. I will not accept matters that conflict with Elizabeth Hunter Law Firm clients or active opposing parties.

Confidentiality

I treat every case file with strict confidentiality. Client information is never discussed outside of the engagement. Work product is secured on dedicated systems separate from my day-job workflows.

UPL Compliance

Services are provided exclusively to licensed Alabama attorneys. I do not market paralegal services directly to consumers, draft documents for clients without attorney supervision, or provide legal advice in any form.
